Melissa Gibbs

I am producing sculpture, which are ambiguous in identity but may remind one of one or more objects. These I collect from everyday life, e.g.: car-keys, crockery, toys etc. and I extract elements of their forms. Having produced a ‘hybridised’ sculpture I can then develop the potential within the form by siting in various locations, e.g. in the sea, in a river and airborne.
