| By employing a juxtaposition of compositional structure and painterly gesture I create a tension between control and disorder in my work. Through these means I aim to create abstract art that reflects both the rational and the emotional aspects of human thought. Motivated by a love of paint and the exploration of pictorial space I want my paintings to express the pluralistic and complex nature of life. |
